I agree, we need news, but I hope that at least one N/R will be Bird specific. I believe that COD is defining a drill program for the bird property and, once this is complete, it would be nice to make this one of a string of N/R's that will cover other properties too.

The Bird property has the potential to command a lot of investor interest especially if it can be proven to host a nickel-copper-PGE magmatic sulphide deposit. The size of the deposit may make it viable to mine.

Obviously, the available funds will dictate the extent of the additional drilling, especially if it needs to be deep, so I suspect the COD is being careful to get the biggest bang for their bucks.

Let's hope that we hear something soon.

My read on this is that investors are interpreting the move to invest in the JV as a sign that the results from The Bird property are not good. This, of course, could be way off the mark. On the other hand, share holders may be simply voicing their opinions about using the cash elsewhere than on The Bird.

I do not know what the coventents for the JV with KG are, but perhaps COD needed to invest the money in order to comply with its side of the JV deal...just a guess.

Perhaps keeping a core stake in COD and day-trading with the rest to benefit from the highs might be a good strategy. I would hate to get caught on the outside and miss potentially block buster news from the Bird property (or elsewhere), but it is equally frustrating to see a run up in the s/p and then a pull-back to where it was before (or even lower). This is nothing unusual for junior mining stocks, but it does not make it any easier to see the s/p go down as it has with COD in the past few days.

Compared to some juniors, COD has a lot of upside potential and a diversification that allows the company to be in nearly all sectors of the resource mining business (gems, precious metals, industrial metals etc). So, any upswing in the markets in general should be good for COD.

I am going to stick with it, but I may alter my investment strategy to benefit more from the run ups in s/p.

Anyway, that' s my two-cents worth....

From memory, I think that Jennifer has wanted to drill the wire property for some time. Also, they need to drill to keep their option agreement fulfilled.

Let's hope that they hit another kimberlite.

I am sure that there are plenty of other targets waiting to be drilled.

Let's hope that we'll be trading again before the week is out.

We'll probably see a downward trend in s/p, but we'll hopefully see some news on the winter drilling program soon. This will help, I am sure.

I got the same news from the company today.

I also found out that Jennifer is compiling a report on the winter drilling program, outlining well over twenty targets which will be duly prioritized. I believe that she is now waiting for the airborne survey results.

Right now, onwards would be good and upwards would be a bonus!!
