I'm an optimist like Bill O'B and agree that the 10Q signals a new and hopeful path. The problems are all due to lack of cash liquidity.. The middle east banks are no longer hemorraging cash and the job got much more difficult... different from the Qatar days.
That being said, the old guy is getting older.. as we all are, including Frank. It's a longer term investment than we originally thought.. but the payoff remains impressive as long as Frank fights for the Omagine stockholders. I think this is the essence of the delay. Like the Donald, Frank will fight for the best deal he can get given that, in the end, he needs to trade equity for cash.
from one deplorable Bill to another: I'm betting on this month.
three cheers for Brexit.. no connection to omag
re omag: the mena oil train just came off the tracks... thanks to US fracking.. a good thing
bad for omag for the short term.. but probably a "blessing in disguise" for the long term.
gulf states need to socially and educationally reform, get rid of the bad guys, create jobs, tourism and hope for their young people.. all good for omag
Frank will get alternate funding.
amazing
book value of about $40, competing investors (CCC and China) and stock at $1
may be the best undiscovered investment on the market.
Happy memorial day to all, although it might rain here in Boston. On WWII, estimates of home island invasion deaths, based on resuts of Okinawa (over 100,000 Japanese, over 50,000 Americans), were about 1,000,000. probably mostly Japanese. They had proven that they would fight to the death. Women and kids were arming themselves with bamboo spears. It woud have been a blood bath. Even after Hiroshima it was touch and go with the warriors assasinating the diplomats. They should be thankful we ended it quickly. No apology. No rewrite of history.
if you google "wsie conference un" you will get lots of links. you can probably find Sam's opening remarks as well as Frank's press conference.
I attended the UN conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship sponsered by Omagine. Great conference for those of us into technology. Sam Hamden pretty much ran the show, many excellent leaders in the fields of automation, robotics, medicine, architecture and the social sciences. Omagine had a nice presence as sponser and Frank gave opening remarks stressing the goals to the chaotic MINA region from a project like Omagine. US gov't attedees include reps from State and NASA.
The first day was held in the General Assembly hall.. very impressive venue.
It was fun for my wife and I to get back to Manhattan (I grew up in Westchester County). We took side trips to St Pat's Cathedral and to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
I spoke to Frank, Charlie and other Omagine folks. They are very upbeat about the project and are working hard, as you can imagine, to move things forward. They are a great team and I think you can be confident that they have the shareholders interests in the forefront of their minds. I would characterize their general attutude as very optimistic.
