Bought into Falcon and Petrohunter in 2009 on the recommendation of Kip Herriage and have been not-so-patiently waiting to make my fortune ever since!

Re: So what's the hold up?

Yay, for once a question I actually know the answer to!

The minister of mineral resources named in the article was replaced a couple of months ago, much to Phillip's disappointment, as apparently they'd built up a good working relationship. He (POQ) was flying out to SA a couple of weeks ago to meet the new minister. Hence the delay, as the new guy finds his feet.

This info was supplied by newtofo who met Phillip a few weeks back at a Falcon presentation.

Re: seems bad news are coming soon.....

Easyrider, if people's choice of user names say something about their character then I think I can safely say you're invested in the wrong company.

Sorry, just trying to lift the doom and gloom!

Re: Crazy Valuations - Mo

Mo, prices on the LSE (London Stock Exchange) are quoted in pence rather than pounds so the articles you reference are correct with no typos and the companies concerned aren't trying to pump and dump.

I do understand you were trying to help and not spread misinformation though. It is confusing, I agree.

Irish Times Article

“It is only the first step, but it is the best first step we could have taken,” said Mr O’Quigley. “We now already know that we can drill two horizontal wells next year. But we don’t know the gas saturation, so we still need to be cautious.”

Re: Falcon Oil & Gas off to a good start in Australia

Any chance of our old friend newtofo putting in a guest appearance to interpret the article posted by Turboray for us laymen (and women!)? I know I'm not the only one who would appreciate a look behind the PR-speak.

Re: What happens today with Falcon?

Copied and pasted from the LSE Falcon forum. A post by our much-missed friend newtofo.

Since our CEO bought his 2.5 million shares for a higher price than we are at currently - I can't see Craven selling for a loss. The insider trading note was posted by Mo on the Agoracom board and what he thought was insider trading of 10 million shares since mid- May was crap - as it was just a chart showing the total trading volume and not insider trading. Bruner could be selling some his 10% that he controls through Petrohunter and Sweetpea, but he would have to do it under the table as he has an obligation to inform Falcon before selling any shares - so that Philip has an opportunity to find a private placement for them. Bruner knows the Beetaloo is the real deal, but could also be hurting for cash so not sure who ro where UBS selling is coming from.
