Great recommendation! Dr. Shenoy offers an absolutely crystal clear discussion of what VCSELs are and how they work. I have (barely just) enough background to be able to track his logic - and at the same time, admire his thorough explanations.
In the US, POETF is up by $.067 at this moment, or a one-day increase of 11.09%. Volume is well over twice what it normally is -- though granted, volume typically is pretty low for POETF on the OTC. (Today: 45,850. Current volume average: 20,730.) This may not mean much, but it is upward movement.

I do see that both Geoff Taylor and Bahram Javidi are in the same department (Electrical and Computer Engineering at UConn). I can't yet find any evidence that they have worked closely together on projects, though. Nonetheless, I enjoy supposing that they may have great conversations over something good to drink....
This is my first post here even though I have followed the agoracom POET forum very closely over the past two years and been a committed buy-and-hold POET investor over that time. I officially break my silence today to thank you, Rainer, for the incredible work you have done in reporting on the Frankfurt breakfast in your blog post. I learned a great deal, especially concerning some strategic directions that I had not yet fully grasped (example: blue ocean vs. red ocean). The googled-translation notwithstanding, you clarified a lot. Bravo!
