What I meant to say was... Looking at the Level II trades -- I kept seeing three bidders looking for 100 shares and 3 people looking to buy 100 shares, all about 5 cents apart today, all from the same three "places". Why was that?

To me it seemed like they were keeping the stock from tanking, especially because they moved in unison.

It seemed like there was always 3 $100 bids and 3 $100 asks about 5 cents apart today, all from the same three "places". Why was that?
