Re: Such a tease...

JT22 -

I'm expecting to hear the following prior our SHM next month:

1. Update on the 3rd PDS board member

2. Confirmation the 'universe' of 600 infringers have been 'split' with Dominion Harbor

3. Updates on new licensees from both Alliasense and Dominion Harbor

my opinion.

Food for thought...

Rockstar Consortium Inc.

Members of the consortium are Apple, Inc., BlackBerry, Ericsson, Microsoft, and Sony.[4] Rockstar is a patent holding non-practicing entity (NPE) and submitted the winning US$4.5 billion bid for the Nortel patents at a week-long auction held in New York in June 2011.

In October 2013, Rockstar had initiated legal action against eight companies,[9] including Google, Huawei and Samsung,[10] as well as other makers of Android phones including Asustek, HTC, LG Electronics, Pantech, and ZTE (cut/paste from Wikipedia)

Apple & Sony have both been present at the TPL BK Hearings. Coincidence?

We are currently in litigation with Huawei, Samsung, & ZTE. Coincidence?

I’m guessing the USPTO & NDOC battle-tested MMP with strong commercial success would complement Rockstar’s patent portfolio rather nicely...

imho

Re: Frozen litigation/ shboomer and hemdog

"This could mean increased licensing and revenue. Way to go! Thanks."

Banker - You got that right! Please see below from the great Jim Otteson from the same PR. This is starting to get REALLY exciting!!!

"We are gratified that the jury correctly decided that HTC's accused products infringe the '336 patent," stated lead trial attorney Jim Otteson of Agility IP Law, LLP. "We know that microprocessor technology can be daunting for lay people to understand, but the jury obviously worked hard to come to the right decision. And we also know that many other companies' products (and many other HTC products not at issue in this case) work the same way as HTC's infringing products. So that should give everyone something to think about."

Re: Frozen litigation

Boomer - From the PR 10/3/13:

Patriot's win against HTC comes after a protracted legal battle that was initiated in 2008. There are additional proceedings in U.S. District Court, currently stayed, alleging infringement of the '749, '890 and '336 patents against Barnes & Noble Inc., Garmin Ltd., Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., LG Electronics, Nintendo Co. Ltd., Novatel Wireless Inc., Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., and ZTE Corporation.

The chickens are coming home to roost!

From the NDOC victory PR 16 months ago; The chickens are coming home to roost!

· "This represents an extraordinary victory and vindication for the '336 patent and sends a strong signal to the marketplace that infringers of the MMP portfolio will be held accountable for their actions,"

· The MMP portfolio has near universal applicability in microprocessor design and companies utilizing this technology should take note of our successes at the USPTO and in court."

· And we also know that many other companies' products (and many other HTC products not at issue in this case) work the same way as HTC's infringing products. So that should give everyone something to think about.

CARLSBAD, Calif. , Oct. 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Patriot Scientific Corporation (OTC: PTSC) announced today that it has won its patent infringement lawsuit against HTC Corporation. In litigation before the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, HTC was found to infringe multiple claims within Patriot's US 5,809,336 patent. The '336 patent is one of several patents that are part of a larger portfolio held by Patriot, known as the Moore Microprocessor Patent (MMP) Portfolio™.

"This represents an extraordinary victory and vindication for the '336 patent and sends a strong signal to the marketplace that infringers of the MMP portfolio will be held accountable for their actions," stated Cliff Flowers, Patriot's Interim Chief Executive Officer. "In addition to our victory over HTC in U.S. District Court, the MMP portfolio has survived 17 re-examination challenges before the USPTO. The MMP portfolio has near universal applicability in microprocessor design and companies utilizing this technology should take note of our successes at the USPTO and in court."

"We are gratified that the jury correctly decided that HTC's accused products infringe the '336 patent," stated lead trial attorney Jim Otteson of Agility IP Law, LLP. "On behalf of Patriot's Board I wish to give recognition to our legal teams and express our thanks for their extraordinary efforts and competence. Most importantly, however, we wish to express our gratitude for the perseverance of our long-standing shareholders who have patiently waited for this day. While there will certainly be additional obstacles to confront and overcome, we look forward to this win as a step towards fulfilling our plans to increase Patriot's value and facilitating opportunities to return consideration to our shareholders," added Mr. Flowers.

Re: List of 100+ MMP Licensees - re: Samsung

Duck - I think it may be a Core Flash license, not an MMP license. I'm guessing if Samsung had bought a license, we'd see some supporting PACER activity...
