Direct registration

Anyone know of a Canadian broker that will accept foreign (UK) clients and who will allow direct registration? My broker in London, (TD Waterhouse) will only do it for UK shares...

Time for cool heads...

I thought Webb was a good geologist and decent person, good with the locals and responsive to investor enquiries. I would respectfully suggest he was not a great business man and I emailed him a couple of times about the poor timing of fund raisings leading to unnecessary dilution and his answers never quite convinced me somehow.

I don't think his credentials as a mine developer were A1 either. Bob Quartermain parted company with Silver Standard for this very reason, so Dave would be in good company if this were the reason behind the move.

The board may have concluded he isn't the right man to take Tyhee into the production OR negotiate a buy out/JV. It may just be that simple. If so, this is good news that they are doing something about it which should make for for a positive affect on the shareprice going forward.

If this is something more along the lines of S&B trying to take Tyhee private and needing Webb out of the way, then they aren't going to manage it at 9 cents a share.

Either way, selling your shares for 9 cents doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Stay cool and what will be will be.

Position of the minority shareholder in a buyout

If an offer came in for Tyhee to take the company private, could a small investor keep their shares or are they forced to sell if the majority accept the offer?

Bloodbath...

I've reached that gut wrenching stage where I daren't look at my portfolio...

Sentiment's appalling which makes me think we must be near a bottom in the metals but I don't see what can turn it round right now.

Could be a lean Christmas :(

Re: When is Tyhee's Share Price Going Much Above 17 cents?

On a macro level we need the HUI to break out decisively on the upside and the producers to reach fair value before the likes of Tyhee get some attention, then I think we'll get a decent move higher. HUI stayed above 580 today even with the sell off in gold which looks positive.

Can't keep the stocks down forever with gold at these levels. I reckon we'll see 900 on the HUI by Christmas as the hedge funds finally go long, i.e the kind of move that will "set your hair on fire" in the words of John Embury. I take John's comments very seriously and have had a pail of water under my desk for many months now as a precaution...to be honest, it's starting to look a little stagnant and in need of refreshing...

Of course, we might get some news at the company level that kicks things off for Tyhee first, but I'm not holding my breath...
