From my experience a company does not announce they are planning a new share issue driving the price down ahead of time and issueing shares at at even lower price

Normally a price is agreed upon and then the price goes down. We would have had a 50 cent issue!

I would be willing to put up with 20% share dilution (225M to 270M)
