Re: Volume 2,364,130 @ 10:36 ET

Not only do they have to win..........but as you said, "win big" as in multimillion $$ settlement. And then there is the appeal process. Patriot won in court but settlement was only a million. That reulted in a share price drop to under 3 cents..........

Plus the process took two years!

Highly unusual trading

I can't recall a time when we've seen 1.8M shares traded by 1pm and then none for 2 1/2 hours. Either manipulation or something's up..........

NEWS OUT: Smartphone makers......

News for 'EDIG' - (Handal & Associates Files Infringement Suits Against
Smartphone Makers)

SAN DIEGO, CA, Apr 02, 2013 (Marketwired via COMTEX) -- Handal & Associates
announced today that it has filed new patent infringement lawsuits on behalf of
its client, e.Digital Corporation (OTCQB: EDIG).

Another series of suits have been filed by Handal & Associates on behalf of its
client, e.Digital, Corporation. The cases target smartphone manufacturers and
resellers including RIM, Motorola, Apple, Huawei and ZTE. The complaints allege
that products made by the Defendants infringe e.Digital's patents covering the
use of flash memory technologies. The asserted patents are part of e.Digital's
Flash-R(TM) patent portfolio. All of the cases have been filed in the United
States District Court for the Southern District of California.

The suits allege infringement of multiple claims across several patents covering
a broad spectrum of products. Notably, the suits seek infringement damages
against smartphones and tablets for features related to, among other things,
flash memory integrity testing, noise suppression technology and file management
functionalities.

"We have examined hundreds of products to determine whether they infringe
e.Digital's patents. We have found that several products utilize core
technologies that belong to and are patented by e.Digital," said Anton Handal,
counsel for e.Digital. "The Flash-R patent portfolio is rich in technologies and
teachings that are central to the functionality of many current consumer
electronics products. Among these is the noise cancellation claims of the '108
patent, which, generally speaking, teach the use of two microphones in handheld
devices to reduce background noise. We are also seeing the use of file editing
functionalities in these products that are embodied in the '170 patent," he
added. "In addition, we are seeing many flash-based devices utilizing a memory
integrity technology that was originally patented by e.Digital. Determining
memory integrity is very important technology in today's highly-integrated
consumer electronics products," Handal stated.

Handal & Associates is a boutique law firm with a practice weighted towards
intellectual property and commercial transactions. Located in San Diego, it
represents clients from around the world.

PS: For those who saw my comment on PTSC M&A boondoggle with their cash from IP...........I did not mean to imply that "M&A is necessarily bad". PTSC, and EDIG both have problems without the expertise to evaluate good acquisitions. Therefore, I would recommend they stay away from trying to buy companies. Given good solid diligence and a good strategic fit, cash spent on an acquisition could be good for share price and ROI.
