I disagree with your assertion that the AOC component development and success will not announced prior to commercial readiness of the product.

The need to support the shareprice thru release of pertinent info on AOC progress will become important. The downside to not doing such is pure negligence as recently witnessed with the PO and the upside to doing such is what's expected from a competent management, particularly from someone like Mika who understands the importance of the markets for financing  for startup companies like POET. 

They may in fact release progress info periodically rather than on an ongoing basis. I could certainly see a release that captures success on the VCSEL and the shipping of the prototype to customers for evaluation.

By end of March I believe. Last year they released it couple of weeks early.

The one irrefutable fact that may not support the idea that a POET based tech is in the iPhone 8 is the shareprice of PTK. It's inconceivable to me that Apple would risk a company supplying a critical component for their primary product to be vulnerable to a takeover from a competitor. It just doesn't make sense to me. This is why they either take them out early or take a significant equity position in these companies. Are there any precedents to what your idea?

POET needs to not only show something significant this year, but needs to show some meaningful progress SOON. The shareprice did not return to prior PO price, not even with the help of buyers from tax loss selling. The SP IMO is in limbo. Denselight's prospects or liabilities are not even reflected here because there's no visibilty yet. This of course will change soon with the reporting of the financials. The only bet left for the moment is an meaningful update on POET progress, soon or we go down from here. Sadly IMHO

• That's the goal at least. The challenge is for POET AOC to be cost competitive as a product and not thru life cycle costing. We must not rely too much on cost of energy as our competitive advantage.

• I completely agree. How can anyone make a statement like the turn around that used to take months are now only taking days? Where's the source?
