Re: Down today???

George turned me onto this story in our weekly shows and I've been a spectator of the company, frankly I was a sceptic, they seemed to be the boy that cried wolf for a long time, but now that this DA has been signed it is game on.

I wouldn't be too worried about a couple days of heated action in the market, this has huge potential, but all things with huge potential also have huge risks as well. But I definitely like what I'm seeing.

The valuation of the land is not that big of a milestone to me, I'm much more interested in how they are going to fund it, if it will be debt or equity funding. I'm really impressed that a large investment bank is leading the funding, I'm also curious to see how quickly it will be funded.

The big money will get a chance to look under the hood, and if it is very exciting they will be falling over themselves to throw money in, and the fewer strings attached will be a good sign of their level of excitement.

My gut tells me, development funding will be wrapped up really quickly.

Cheers,

Big deal

Do they only have like 16 million shares, that can't be the fully dilluted number, is it?

Re: Donner Metals: A Tale of Two Companies

I have a sneaky suspicion that during the negotiation of the deal they tried to have their cake and eat it too. Unfortunately when dealing with a major they usually don't get beat on deals very often. I can't believe that they didn't think about all the what-ifs before going into that deal. It's hard enough to find a great project, structuring a crummy deal is very unfortunate. I've been involved in the negotiation and structuring of deals for mining projects, and too often I've seen the smaller company way to eager to take the deal, and dismiss the negatives in the deal so they can move it forward.

Re: Fission Energy

I originally added Fission Energy to the roster of featured companies in my email newsletter a few years ago before they made discoveries with their drilling. The main reason back then was because I liked their location, they have a great land package adjacent to the Midwest deposit owned by Denison/Areva and the Roughrider discovery owned by Hathor.

Since then Hathor has continued to advance their discovery and Fission has been getting very good hits with their recent drilling as well. There is a large geophysical anomaly that runs through the Midwest and Roughrider ground, with a big part of the anomaly on Fission's ground.

In the past year Fission has been refining their search, their geophysical work is helping them have success with their drilling and the combination of drilling and geophysics are leading them with their current and future drilling.

The bottom line is they have the key characteristics I look for in an exploration company, good location, in a mining friendly region and most importantly getting impressive results with the drill rig/truth machine.

They are in the midst of their busiest exploration season, so they should have very good news flow.

Uranium stocks

Uranium stocks are looking very oversold and trading on a high level of irrational fear. It is very hard for me to see how the global economy can grow without nuclear energy being an important part of the mix of energy sources.

Uex, Hathor and Fission are a few of my favourite picks, I'm a shareholder of all of them. All with high-grade uranium discoveries in Saskatchewan, which is the most important uranium mining region in the world.

I'm not a nuclear physicist, nor do I play one on TV, but what I've read from a MIT expert, it looks like all the safety procedures are kicking in as they should and the cores of these reactors are unlikely to breach the containment cells.

After this emergency is over I think it will show just how safe nuclear energy is, one of the worst earthquakes ever, yet the last line of defense the containment cells are doing what they are suppose to.

Not only do I think uranium stocks are trading on a lot of fear right now it also looks like the Nikkei is oversold and a place to look for bargains.

My prayers are with all the people of Japan, and a special thank you to those incredibly brave workers at the reactors.
