Hi Don Jose,
Thanks. I guess the off-topic was the anouncement.
The book was inspired by this forum some time ago. I made some mention of having worked in the mines and somebody made a post suggesting that I was being mendacious and that I had never worked in the mines. So I indignantly fired off another post that described some of my mining experiences. You may recall the incident in which the hoisting rope broke and the skip fell over two thousand feet in freefall while I was in the loading pocket. I remember you made some comments about that at the time as I think you were in a hoisting business yourself at one time.
Anyway I threw in some family history which I think is kind of colourful and a whole bunch more stories from mining towns and a few mines I worked in and voila a book.
It is available at smashwords, kobo, Barnes and Noble and other book sellers as smashwords is primarily a book distributor although they also sell ebooks.
It is available on smashwords at <a href="http://smashwords.com/b/269905" rel="nofollow">smashwords.com/b/269905</a> .
Many thanks.
Many thanks to those who took the time to have a look at the book, "Haywire My Life in the Mines" and a special thanks to those who purchased a copy.
Sorry for the off topic but if you have ever wondered what it is like to work in a mine or if you have worked in a mine and want to compare notes try, "Haywire My Life in the Mines" at smashwords.
Correct me if I am wrong but I don't think that 10 million dollar break fee is too onerous. I wonder if they are inviting more offers. JMHO.
Now volume is at 822,000. Weird stuff. Don't know what to think.
Thanks for posting the "Highland Overview". This is fantastic news. Sooner or later there is going to be a bidding war for Prodigy. This latest acquisition by Prodigy must be very interesting to Richmont. Richmont has just added a director to their management team who is very experienced in acquisitions. JMHO.
