I liked the news. I asked about the mill and we are permitted for about 1800 tpd. Asked about our joint venture with SKP and they expect to spend $900,000 over there but if we can ramp up like they hope in the production figures then I think SGR will prove themselves this year. The more we produce the lower the cost and buy Q4 if we get 1400 tpd we may see costs around $650 which should be very nice. I hope so.
There certainly is alot of shares trading these days. Nice to see the most recent news about us buying 100% of the Noranda project. It is tough going through the low quantities of gold but many companies starting out hit these same problems. SGR is just releasing good news but think of their news in relation to AMC. Hopefully we will see the financing go through for Snow Lake. To put the infrastructure that is in AMC in place in todays dollars is something which I think you would be hard to find. Lets get through this phase and move forward. Anyone else have any thoughts out there?
Sounds like good news to me. We are well funded for exploration with the PP. Let's hope they do a real good look at the PQ operation. It did not help this week to have this news come out right at the time of the Japanese crisis etc. Market has been getting real antsy lately.
Traps were you watching on the news about the natives and their demonstration in the ring of fire area. There is a real feeling that miners have gone onto their properties to explore without negotiating some kind of benefit for the natives. With high unemployment in some of these northern isolated communities their is a real desire to see mining bring local employment opportunities to these isolated communities.
Traps - is it always in the joint ventures partner's interest to really reveal the full value of a property if they want to buy it? I say this from the cpy and ng joint venture view. In dec they came out with a offer to buy based on the value of cpy (after galore creek had been shut down for two years). The news releases from their joint venture strike me as much the same. Cpy has now come back with their rebuttal and it is on the sedar sight. SGR has certainly lost some of its upward momentum - do you have any thoughts on that. The hinge zone is interesting but Skp just seems to be stuck. I did not think the last news on Dufferin was bad but it is interesting how usually the news builds up to the PDAC. I hope so because SKP certainly seems to need a leg up.
All the same to you too Traps. I noticed the volumes were good for a number of jr commodities. Ni prices seem to be doing well. Good to see tax selling should be over now.
