Dear Zenyatta Shareholders,

 

Thank you for your continued support and confidence as we continue to grow your Company.  2017 is looking like a very active year on the market and business development front and we are poised and ready to enhance Zenyatta’s profile.  Our industry continues to strengthen based on the market demand for high purity graphite and graphene, especially for cleantech applications.  

 

We started with the discovery of the Albany Graphite Deposit in 2012 and in a relatively short period of time, Zenyatta has outlined a large resource in 2014, completed a preliminary economic assessment in 2015 and started our pre-feasibility program in 2016.  We are also working with numerous global corporations on collaborative projects related to graphite and graphene applications.  We are well financed and continue to receive financial support from the Ontario and Canadian governments.

 

In 2016, Zenyatta continued to make advances on various high purity graphite applications:

 

1. 
   

   Testing on Zenyatta purified graphite met specifications for Lithium Ion Batteries;  It was equivalent to leading high quality natural and synthetic graphite in commercial usage.

   
   


2. 
   

   We announced successful performance testing in components of a Ballard Power Fuel Cell stack using Albany graphite.

   
   


3. 
   

   We also announced positive test results from a collaboration with Ben-Gurion University and Larisplast Ltd in Israel related to adding Graphene generated from our graphite to enhance concrete.  We are now moving to the pilot scale.

   In addition, we announced the confirmation on the ease and high-yield conversion of our graphite to graphene both from Lakehead University in Ontario, Canada and from the Tokyo Institute of Technology in Japan, three highly respected institutions.

   
   

 

The future is bright and strong for Zenyatta’s unique graphite material.  We are delighted with the solid global interest in our high purity material which has led to successful test results and deeper associations.    We believe that the outlook for nano-materials, like ours, puts the Company in a strong growth position that will lead to long term value for our shareholders.
