EMD getting real close to permitting

AIM: EMED TSX: EMD 17 January 2014

EMED Mining Public Limited ("EMED Mining" or the "Company")

Update of Progress at the Rio Tinto Copper Project

EMED Mining, the Europe-based minerals development and exploration company, is pleased to report progress at its Rio Tinto Copper Project in Spain (the "Project").

The Ministry of Environment and Land Planning (‘Environment’) of the Government of Andalusia has issued a "compatibility report" in relation to the reopening of the Rio Tinto mine in the province of Huelva stating that there are no inconsistencies in any environmental aspects of the Project.

The compatibility report is an internal report between the departments of Environment and the Ministry of Economy, Innovation, Science and Jobs, by which Environment has provided the competent body – the Department of Industry, Energy and Mines, with confirmation that there are no inconsistencies.

This was announced on Thursday 16 January 2014 by the Director General of Industry, Energy and Mines of the Junta de Andalucía, María José Asensio, in a press conference in Seville along with the Minister of Economy, Innovation, Science and Jobs, José Sánchez Maldonado.

Rod Halliday, Interim Managing Director and CEO of EMED Mining commented:

"The Company has been assured that everyone is working intensively on the Environmental Dictamen and it will be issued as soon as possible. The fact that this statement has been made with the agreement of both departments is an extremely significant step as they are both publically acknowledging that the Project is workable from an environmental perspective."

It's happening soon

Go to their website http://www.emed-mining.com/ check this stock out.

100 % ownership of a proven mine once owned by Rio Tinto. All the infrastructure is in place.

Everything financially is set up, permits should be approved and announced by the end of 2013 barring any more hold ups.

an announcement should be coming up shortly regarding the 30 day public forum which finished Oct. 14th approx. and with 50% unemployment in the area this should get approval.

If they get the permits a lot of the risk will be removed on one of the lowest cost production Copper and Silver mines in the world..

check it out.

other opportunities

I a have been into CF for over 3 1/2 years and just recently sold most of my position over the last few months as I could see the writing on the wall and another year or so wait IMO.
I had a substantial position so it took a while. Also I didn't want to hurt the stock too much as I have recommened CF to 14 friends and family members who still are invested to different degrees and under water.

I have been waiting for an opportuntity to come along that would get me excited again like CF did back when.

Just check out EMD.T , go to their website, yes they have a lot of shares outstanding but it is .12 cents and everything is happening at the end of 2013.

This one is under the radar IMO.

re: Teck's cost per LB.

The BFS may not have been what we were expecting and maybe not by a long shot.

What it lacks in quality it will make up in size. And maybe the inferred should have been drilled.

Teck's cost per LB. to mine copper is $1.60 at average after credits for all their copper mines and ours is $1.15 after credits with just what we stated in our limited BFS.

Why would they not want us???
