Re: Slow and steady

Slow and steady will be seen with the next financial report, I hope. If we've completed a few more installs in this qtr and recurring sales then our numbers should reflect that. I think we may even see some movement on margins as the company gets better with each install and costs drop because of that.

Not sure when we'll see them but my guess would be within the next 2 weeks.

Re: Call to Alliance CFO

It seems Alliance and it's subsidiary developed a system that is MSHA approved and is installed in their mines. it's Matrix Design Metz 2.1. The cfo called it a wireless system but when I check out matrix it seems it is a wired system. I also looked into the fact that it is a pager system so the miners have to be able to text message after an accident. It seems this system is far below Act's system but it seems the mines are attempting to reach compliance by the cheapest and easiest route that MSHA and it's watered down legislation will allow.
Until there is a shift in the culture at MSHA and in congress, we will continue to fight this uphill battle.

Call to Alliance CFO

I emailed Alliance last week and asked about their choice for c&t. I heard back from the cfo's executive sec with his number and he will discuss the safety equipment they use. I did mention Act last week to see if wireless is in their future plans. I'll post any discussion I have with him.

Re: No trading?

I'm not sure why you are saying this is an add-on when it says in the nr a complete system for c&t. I know they are an existing customer but this is another mine adjacent to the other installation.

Peter Gimon also said he would not announce add-ons as they are happening all the time with their existing customers as their mines expand.

You do have a very valid question and you should call Peter directly and ask him. I'd love to hear the answer to that question as well.

Active Control Technology Inc.: New ActiveMine(TM) System Ordered in West Virginia

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 21, 2010) - Active Control Technology Inc. (TSX VENTURE:ACT), a leading provider of advanced wireless communication, productivity and safety systems, today announced that an existing customer has ordered an additional ActiveMine(TM) tracking and communication system. This is the third ActiveMine(TM) purchase from this customer.

The system is currently being installed and should be fully operational by the end of April. The new mine has a 20 year reserve of coal.

The new mine will share tracking and communications information with an adjacent mine, which had previously deployed ActiveMine(TM). This will allow workers to move between both mines using the same phones, which will also act as tracking devices. This feature adds to efficiency and reduces costs, and will give dispatchers accurate knowledge of worker locations in or out of both mines.

Active Control Technology is supplying a hybrid system that utilizes both wireless and fiber. ActiveMine's(TM) unique ability to provide wired, fiber, or wireless systems in almost any combination made this a relatively easy decision for the customer.

"This customer understands our approach to technology and is using the advantages of ActiveMine(TM) to be a safe and profitable mining company," saidCameron Sturgess, President and CEO, Active Control Technology. "Being the third ActiveMine(TM) purchase from this customer, this is a further validation of our technology".
