Closed at 2.13 --- might be seen as Morning line Odds... Pre Race betting is heating up. 30 minutes prior to post, fairly significant bets at 2.19 bid and ask.... Then 300 bid at 2.50 followed by 240 ask at 2.50. Wonder if it reflects... "and the jockey of course, passed it on to the horse, and the horse.... told... me!!!"
Good sentiments Gord -- 3rd quarter results should arrive tomorrow with about the same reliability as an Equibase virtual stable notice of a racehorse's workout. This is the secondlast workout before this horse either enters the Grade I handicapping group or remains in the high claimer/low allowance racing categories. Key to all of this depends on many factors -- the horse's breeding (i.e. oz per ton in production), trainer/work jockey team and time for the distance.
Those with good projection capacities might like to do some going forward expectations based on this morning's new release.
I like the Zenyatta model! Collapse the last six months into about 2 minutes. Make it a 5 million dollar 1 1/4 mile race and watch your horse run last for the first 3/4s of the race. Then comes the move---- 19 times out of the last twenty, first place. Oh well, missing by a nose isn't bad. Who should you blame (oh, I mean congratulate!)? The horse, the jockey, the trainer, the owner! Perhaps its just a bit of realizing the potential of a marvelous phenomenon of nature, albeit more or less well!!
Sorry . Mosey, this is no filly. Now a four year old retired at stud since winning the Derby last May. Originally purchased as 2000 shares in a low claimer at .06 cents a share out of a mare called Glod City and a half brother to the newly rejuvenated Merit mining. First off spring have been showing in the medium priced auction rings over the past few months. Yearling sales through this fall and the coming winter are expected to be very strong. Two year old training and first races of offspring follow in logical order.
Meanwhile this native (Manitoba) Dancer will continue to "drill" holes of mother (earth).
Fun day.... the biggest loser sold a bunch of Skp at .40 --- still a nice profit from the .35 purchase -- SGR is a hold!!!
