Lebnjb, I think I found it more positive reading than you did. A $220m first phase sounds a lot more realistic and manageable for all concerned and won't stretch the LLC shareholders too much. With the Omani bank pretty much on board (by the sounds of it) the search for finance in China and beyond seems to have been demoted to an unlikely backup plan.
The positive news is gonna keep coming from here on, but we might have to wait until after 17 September for any meaningful update as I wouldn't expect any major breakthrough before Eid Al Adha which begins on 11th.
Hey Boardarinos,
I've finally decided to come out of hibernation.
Even the doom and gloom in the article posted by Edisonisn't going to kill the sunny spring feeling I have now. Well to be fair my downside on Omagine is pretty tiny compared to tbe upside so it's not too bad place to be!
While the 'troubled waters's article didn't really bring anything new to the table, reading such a negative article could spook a few folks. So I've decided to post a 'good news story's from our friends at Times of Oman.
More good news is not far away!

Thanks Agoracom! I was trying to post the link but it just wasn't happening.
Bill & Co, I do owe you an apology for my sloppy statement. We all appreciate the updates you give us in your dealings with Frank and phone calls to Charlie! I sleep well at night knowing the board are fully focused!
Well I'm away to read the 10k!
There it is! I was expecting news like that for quite a while now.
If you're a subscriber to ConstructionWeekOnline.com's daily updates, you'll see that payments for contractors in the gulf have been a problem for some time now. CCC being no exception, and if I'm not wrong they are also oil producers themselves.
Bit concerned about this CCC funding deal only being talked about in Q3 whereas the Omagine deals need to be completed by end June............to be continued!
I guess the take-away from all this is that you should always listen to your quantity surveyor!
