Williams Creek Gold Announces Changes to Management

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - May 24, 2013) - Mr. Michael R. Sonnenreich has announced his resignation as CEO and Chairman of Williams Creek Gold Limited (TSX VENTURE:WCX) effective May 24, 2013, for personal reasons. The Board of Directors has appointed Director Mr. James Wyant as Chairman and interim Chief Executive Officer to replace Mr. Sonnenreich.

"On behalf of our Board, I would like to thank Mr. Sonnenreich for his commitment and service to the Company. He has been integral in the development of the Company since 2010, and was vital in maneuvering it through these difficult markets. Under his leadership, the Company made several promising exploration property acquisitions, leaving the company well-positioned for future growth. Mr. Sonnenreich has made invaluable contributions to the Williams Creek Board and we wish him continued success in his future endeavours," said Mr. Wyant.

"Williams Creek remains committed to expanding its property portfolio with quality assets in North America in addition to leveraging positive exploration results from our existing properties. The Company will continue to execute on this strategy moving forward, supported by an experienced Board and management team. I look forward to the opportunity to lead Williams Creek in advancing its properties and believe the Company is poised to capitalize on its growth initiatives," added Mr. Wyant.

James Wyant has served on the Board of Williams Creek Gold since 2010. He was President of Wyant &Company, a public corporation listed on the NASDAQ, and presided over its successful sale to Cascades Inc. in 2000. Mr. Wyant also served as the Chairman for Vermont Public Television and was awarded the PBS Leadership Award in 2003.

With this change and other company people moving on what is the future for Williams Creek and their JV with Tyhee at Big Sky?

I think they will put their plans for exploration on hold!

Are we at the bottom of the current industry down cycle yet?

Wow!

I have been involved with mining and exploration for nearly 25 years and have been through at least 2 industry down cycles. Thing is these cycles generally coincided with low commodity values...not this time. Like before many companies will dissapear, merge or simply become shells. A CEO friend of mine noted there was "blood on the streets" for some companies. I know Tyhee is not one of these! When Tyhee puts its funding together it will be stellar for its stock. Question is are we at the bottom of this cycle or is there more depth to come?

I would like to hear some thoughts from our forum members about this.

What is driving this cycle?

What is a guestimate on its duration?

What would be indications of the industry comming out of this cycle?

I look forward to your insights and opinions.

Cheers,

Would new drilling at Clan Lake be a good idea now?

Hi all,

I noted from my research that Tyhee has not done any exploration drilling since 2011 when they decided to focus on the FS.

A good idea I believe for the short term, but it has been awhile.

Would some new drilling and new resources from Clan Lake or other property create new interest and maybe drive the SP?

This would require raising some serious funding. Would the dilution be acceptable?

Thoughts?

Cheers,

TerraX Acquires Northbelt Gold Mining Leases.

It looks as if a new player is going to be active around the Big Sky Claims.

Between Williams Creek and TerraX there should be some interesting numbers after this Summer.

Should be good for Tyhee SP as well.

Re: What is Everyone's General Feeling?

Baires,

Would it now make sense to merge with a mining partner and spin off an exploration company from the mining company? And at the same time take the opportunity to fix the share value? Or would this just provide more room for further stock value decreases?

It just seems strange that such a great project is not being snatched up by either investors or producers?
