Ha ha..Roulston says we need to sell and get cash and deploy it into things that 'have near term growth potential".. like sell Murgor at one cent?, sell Fancamp? Sell Noront? ...I think he means we have to subscribe to his newsletter so he can make some money pretending he knows what is better. Same stuff, different day.
Do you have a link to these analysts you say are giving the strong buy to MGR?
What happened to all the writers here, with President and Vice President rank who were praising this stock as the supreme value like it was the Book of Mormon? I don't see any of them in the recommended msg list anymore.
Seems there should be a shareholder suit pressuring for a better deal, an auction...or disclosure of what price was offered by Cliff Resources or anyone else.
? I think that is wrong. There is no guarantee to buy at $50, especially from a big investor.
Pinetree often gets to buy shares at discount plus warrants but Pinetree is down big too. Pinetree was near $1.00 recently.
There has been an overall drying up of investment in Cdn explorer stocks.
Also please note the major gold stock indexes have been in a jagged downtrend for quite awhile vs gold in jagged uptrend.
Messages on stock price manipulation by insiders, and 'the shorts' are very popular.
But I also own Pinetree (PNP), maybe the biggest insider on all of these exploration stocks. Pinetree price performance is TERRIBLE. Gold and silver can fly, and Pinetree wobbles about like a wounded duck. Gold prices fall and Pinetree acts ready to go die someplace under $1.00.
At first it seemed Pinetree price was related to Uranium stock weakness. But Uranium stocks are a minority holding.
My latest guess is that all CDN junior resource stocks have lost major investors, co-emerging with John Paulson being burned on Sino Forest.
I expect PRB and all such stocks are affected by this desertion of capital. PRB at least seems to be responding decently to the ups and downs in gold prices which seems to be a compliment to the companies value.
Liquidity is out there somewhere, causing inflation in commodities in general and flowing overseas via western trade deficits, but liquidity seems not to be flowing to Cdn resource stocks like it used to.
Any thoughts on that?
Dear Pinetree Management
B. Madoff, Sino Forest and now even US Social Security. Public awareness of Ponzi schemes may be damaging investment in Pinetree.
The analyst that attacked and shorted Sino Forest defined Ponzi as company that can only survive by selling more shares. This of course also describes many explorer stocks and possibly Pinetree.
BUT to counter this view, Pinetree has the ability to sell many explorer shares and diversify into more established resource stocks & bonds and other investments.
Is that so difficult? Wouldn't that be good? Please reply here.
