As a novice investor, can anyone tell me what web sites other than "canadianinsider.com" will give me (free) up to date info on insider buying and selling for TSX listed company's? Thx so much to whoever can help
Why would you invest $90million if you didn't believe in the product. I really think that GWG is going to prove the mkt wrong! Just wait and see what the remaining 600 or so assays reveal. The recent assays have imo beat expectations. Not long before GWG is scooped up by someone who wishes to gain control of their own supply of HRE outside of China. My guess is a Japanese firm.
RG9 That would be great if you could get some feedback. On another note, the SP seems rediculously low given that GWG is already a fully integrated producer, and not just at a "discovery stage" like many of the other juniors who actually have larger mkt caps. Now that NEM is "off the table" my guess is that GWG (with all it's assets) will be scooped up next, and likely within the next several months.... If not sooner!!!!
I haven't owned GWG for a couple of years now but decided to buy in a couple of weeks ago when the SP was in the mid .50 cent range. I did so because I like the forward outlook for the company.... I understand that there are only a few RE producers outside of China (that are as well advanced in the developmental stage as GWG), so why then has this company's SP not gone up given that recent assays are very good and the resource % and grade shows better than historical data. I strongly believe that those with the power to short it are doing so simply to trigger stop losses and " take advantage of the emotionally weak investor". Once 43-101 is out, the SP should gain some upward momentum. At this low mrkt cap, it could be a quick and easy double on a take out. Any thoughts?
I believe that GWG had to aquire the remaining shares, under the 'compulsory aquisition provisions under section 440k of the companies act' (South Africa).....according to the NR.

SASKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN -- Great Western Minerals Group Ltd. ("GWMG" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:GWG)(OTCQX:GWMGF) announces that it is exercising its rights under South African company law and has initiated the process to compel the acquisition of all of the remaining shares of Rare Earth Extraction Co. Limited ("Rareco") that it does not already hold, which will result in a 100% shareholding of Rareco by GWMG.
To date, GWMG holds 93.1% of the issued and outstanding shares of Rareco. GWMG previously announced that it had posted an all-cash offer circular to the shareholders of Rareco on December 21, 2010 and had acquired the requisite 90% of Rareco shares, which entitles GWMG to initiate the compulsory acquisition provisions under Section 440K of the Companies Act (South Africa).
