I couldn't agree more. There were plenty of warning signs about Leckrone, as well as about the BoD and others, over a number of years. When folks reject the notion of trying to be objective, choosing instead to be guided only by what they wanted to see and hear, the outcome usually isn't good for them. Of course, this in no way excuses Leckrone's behavior --- nobody among the retail investors "got what they deserved", but on the other hand, burying one's head in the sand is rarely sound strategy.
