In general, I seriously doubt that the stock price of any company "took a beating" for the sole reason that a settlement was reached on a "with prejudice" basis. Indeed, the vast majority of all settlements are "with prejudice". If you wish to point me to the specific company/settlement that you're addressing, I'll try to find time to take a look at it.
