Could the results change the [jury's] decision?

No, it cannot. Which is a good thing, because if such a change was possible, then, in theory, the verdict could be changed by Judge Laporte to one of noninfringement.

Due to the appeal by HTC, the substantive aspects of this case are now in the hands of the Federal Circuit and the power of the trial court has been divested on such issues. The trial court can still perform ministerial functions, such as assistance with dispute resolution as we see here, but only the Federal Circuit can change the jury verdict --- which, of course, all of us hope will not occur unless it is somehow favorable to PTSC.
