IMO it is taking the natural course of many, many other stock chat boards with companies that go bust. I (am I am sure more than a few here) have seen it before.

Some die hards will hold on to their belief that the lottery will pay off till the day the board closes. Some become bitter and post till the end about how much things sucked and "someone" (not them) is responsible.

Some decide to take action and organize class action remedies.

Most just realize that their investment/bet/gamble was a losing mistake and move on. Less wealth in the pocket, more in the brain.

Although I can't say I have ever witnessed it, the only remedy is a turn around and a second rags to riches story gets credibility.
