I take it you got the same impression (right or wrong) as I did re: the '584 - - that is that the clock has restarted anew (17 years). Sure would like confirmation on this. Seems that they would assign a new patent number though, but perhaps not (just need the paper trail, and it would probably be more cost-effective and less confusing to leave it the same).
