In the patent enforcement/licensing business litigation is a given. I’d even say that if we don’t have ongoing court cases we will not make nearly as much money.
Enforcing and Licensing patents is a process that’s litigation-bound.
It remains litigation-bound even after a court ruling confirms that TPL is the winner in a particular case. I’m sure there are many variations in how different companies implemented Moore’s patents. Each additional infringer would like to claim that their design implementations are different (especially different from previous court rulings, if a court ever rules), and that they are so different that they don’t infringe. Some will take the litigation path.
These new cases should have been expected and received as good news. So what else is going on here? Do we have a lot of nieve investors out there? I'm betting it's the worn out investors that are selling now. Can't blame them.
