It's hard to describe how I felt as I was leaving that meeting. It must be kinda like the people that visit the Casino feel. Full of hope going in....full of dispair coming out.....BUT maybe.... NEXT TIME.....Jackpot! Although I'll admit, I'm less than excited about a jackpot happening anytime soon.
Maybe the only refreshing thing that happened is that I didn't feel like I was lied to quite as much this time. That might have something to do with the change of speakers this time. No promises of wonderful things going to happen "next month". I wish I had a buck for every time I heard that.
The noteable exception would be , as Rogers mentioned, the whole lawsuit thing. I asked specifically for them to name ALL parties involved in litigation with Dynamic, and what is their statement of claim. Curiously there was a Loooooooooong pause while Jerry had a pow wow with the Lawyer....and we got the number ONE!!!!! It took a Looooooooong time to count to ONE! I spoke to 2 other people in that room who were involved in litigation, and I know of another....(albeit that information is second hand). So what is up with that ONE thing?
I believe that they believe that they are on the right track FINALLY, and that they a have assembled what appears to be a much better team. The problem is that the game is in the last minute of the third period, we have our goalie pulled, we've got 2 guys in the penalty box, and we need 3 goals just to tie it up.
How's about this......since the burn rate seems to be the biggest concern until we sell some stuff, be it new machines or old stock....how about Jerry stepping up to the plate and deferring his salary until such time that we're raking in the cash. I noticed that Wayne isn't drawing a salary. And just to show that I'm a team player....I'll forfeit my Dynamic Dividend cheques for the next little while.
