01:48 PM EDT, 08/25/2016 (MT Newswires) -- Wesdome Gold Mines Ltd. (WDO.TO) has surged 28% to $1.93 after it announced early underground drill results from the exploration program at its 100% owned Kiena Mine Complex located near Val d'Or, Quebec after market close on Wednesday.

Shares hit a high of $1.98 in earlier trade.
