Someone (Baires perhaps?) recently raised the possibility of Interinvest/S&B taking the company private.
Would anyone care to speculate on what that would mean for us Joe Six-Pack investors? Plainly, our shares would suddenly become less liquid (errr . . . even less liquid). I don't know that the company being private would affect the feasibility study, the permitting, or the mine construction financing.
In the near-term, could Interinvest/S&B forcibly buy us Joe Six-Packs out?
Also, what does it mean to us retail investors who don't have a 1%+ stake on an intermediate or long term basis? From Interinvest/S&B's perspective, merely running the company may not be as profitable as being a share-issuer, i.e., doing an IPO in the future under more favorable market conditions for junior gold producers.
All this calls for some speculation. But, it may help all of us to noodle out the possibilities.
With best regards.
