One thing Rob Kirby didn't mention and it is "pure speculation" on my part was that the gold suplied by the Central Bank of England to cover the naked shorts of J. P. Morgan and Deutsche Bank on the LBMA was of lessor quality than good delivery standard bars. Sounds to me they might be gold melted into bars from the gold confication in the U.S. years ago. Which might further indicate the lack of gold in the good ole U.S. of A.
