Good point, freedom. The Fort Knox has all its infrastructure costs paid for years ago, even the heap leach, so adding gold ounces via a buyout is pure gravy to Kinross. They are lagging Goldcorp in profitability and the Gil would bump that up a few hundred million. Not like a greenfield site - everything is in place to exploit the Gil.
