I hear you, I had similar concerns initially. I called their office to get some insight. I spoke with James for nearly an hour. What stood out to me the most was that I never felt that I was being sold something. I had a decent insight into REE's because of the number of years I was invested in AVL. While I was speaking to James I put the sell order in on my AVL and bought a large block of Stans. I spent another couple of hours doing additional DD, either that day or the next I doubled my position. Since then I've added again, larger then my first two purchases, if I had the cash available I would add more.

Part of your DD should be talking to the people, I'd be surprised if you were disappointed.
