Spider management and BOD got an eye-opener and an earful at yesterday’s AGM. They clearly didn’t anticipate such a turn-out – as mentioned earlier, we had to be moved to a larger room and as the vote later substantiated – the reverse split was given a resounding no from the shareholders. This meeting was no gratuitous passing of motions. Management was given very pointed and knowledgeable questions by the shareholders and had to defend some of their positions. You had to be there!
Investor Relations was a big issue also. If management will just get on board and use simple business and marketing practices in providing information, issuing news releases and promoting the product, their I R could have a significant impact on the company’s fortunes going forward.
It was a great pleasure to meet everyone at the AGM and as you all know, we are very lucky to have Snug, John and Yellowknifer covering our backs as shareholders and their knowledge of and commitment to Spider Resources is nothing short of extraordinary.
