I find it interesting comparing the gold charts for different currencies...the US$ price of gold as senior currency moved differently from most others over the last year or so. In US$ gold is off about 4% from early 09 highs, but is 10-20% off in a range of other major currencies.

In most currencies there have been several good moves up in gold in recent years, spanning a July low through into the following year, sometimes to April.
