These guys are the latest to get into shale, and will inact some top regulations to protect the environment to the fullest, but also not to discourage the industry as they have sold off $178M in rights...they are also targeting the utica.
Actually I am happy seeing utica drilling now in PA and Michigan to start. I know geology is a bit different, but it should be very close. So any results will add to the validity of our play.
Anyway my point is, Quebec must be seeing what others are doing. I read many articles from french papers saying Quebec is going to be a leader and people will follow how things are done, and that's not the case looking at both Michigan and NB. Most places have been handling shale for some time now and clearly can make it work very well. Common sense and harsh enough rules to ensure things are done safely.
