Patience has always been a requirement for QEC. Even though BAPE has not really changed anything, the market overreacts as usual. Good strategy to park this for now and focus on other parts of portfolio. Interesting to note that senior partner Talisman has not been affected by the BAPE report. As they pay dividends that is where I will redirect much of my holdings to while we wait out the development of the Quebec play. Also, this may be a silver lining for QEC if they also re-focus on other plays where they are involved (BC, ALTA, SASK). With their cash assets it may be a good time to diversify the company in provinces where the industry is warmly welcomed.
