The BB Photonics website is not new. The most recent change happened 13 weeks ago to reflect the acquisition by POET Technologies. The short description of their technology has been there before already and hasn't changed.

And they removed the description of their leadership team:

William Ring

Chief Executive Officer

Bill Ring is an executive with over 20 years experience in communications, solar energy and optical technology. Prior to founding BB Photonics, his roles have ranged from director of development to general management of a components business and a solar energy company. Having worked for Hewlett Packard and Tyco Electronics in the communications space, he has developed and manufactured multiple devices for networking products and transceivers.

Bob Musk

VP of Engineering

Bob Musk is a Chartered Physicist and Chartered Scientist with nearly 50 years experience in microelectronics and optoelectronics design, development, manufacture, and marketing. Having worked and lived in Europe, North America, Japan and Singapore whilst involved with optoelectronics, his experience spans virtually the entire evolution of fibre optic products through R&D to high volume manufacture.

Mirek Florjanczyk

Principal Scientist/Founder

Mirek Florjanczyk is an applied scientist with background in engineering physics and quantum optics. He has 30 years experience in photonics R&D and design. Having worked for Optiwave, Zenastra Photonics, Trillium Photonics, NRC Canada, and OneChip Photonics he designed devices for fiberoptic communications and space sensing. He is a Professional Engineer in Ontario.
