in response to fairchijisback's message

Intel is already planning to use III-V materials, based on elements from the third and fifth columns of the periodic table, like gallium-arsenide, in forthcoming chips. Gallium arsenide is a better electricity conductor than silicon, and it could add to the power efficiency of chips.

The POET solution becomes more valuable as time goes on. Can you imagine where POET would be today if even a very small fraction of the money being spent to achieve a more efficient and cost effective silicon photonics solution was brought to bear on POET?

It is truely amazing, is it not, that PTK has not had a take out offer (that we know of).

Why would Intel persist in going it alone when it could take out POET for a fraction?

Do they not know how long it will take to solve the problem that POET has - especially considering that the one true path has now been patented?
