Taking this one step further I think that a major would in fact want to ensure they had access to POET through a license before any attempt was made for a takeover by anyone. Think about it for a minute. If you are one of the big companies who would need to be part of the POET ecosystem. Would you make an offer for the company and run the risk that someone else would be the successful suitor? Or would you first ensure that you had access to the technology by way of an NRE commitment?
This all sounds like Déjà vu in terms of discussions we had a year or 2 or even 3 or 4 years ago but it seems to me that POET is much closer to making that discussion relevant in terms of where the company is now in commercializing products.
