??? The 12th. No short position reported in the Oct 1 to 15 period. And the selling taking the share price lower from the 15th was mixed with some up days. The real volume with Anonymous active was on the 28th. Selling ahead would have involved risk that POET would not accept the terms. Their average short would have been at .54 (Anon only had a total of 3.1 million shares sold from the 17th to the 27th)

I think the whole thing was put on with known conditions. I don't think they had to take the share price down. The market took it down for them anticipating what the outcome would be.
