One thing we must realize that if/when these companies have interest in what POET is doing, the interest could be as much as a precaution as it is an interest. They all have lots of irons in the fire.
Personally, this philosophy of holding on to and developing as much as we can on our own is a potentially fatal strategy. The more resources dedicated to accelerating this disruptive technology, the faster it gets realized. In technology, more often than not, speed doesn't kill, but the lack of it will.
