You were very lucky and great timing on your part! I too was upset about the THW. When they started buying companies I knew there were issues. I sold some in the low ninties but when the price recovered the same day it got me doubting myself. Too bad for me.

I was self employed most of my life. Have no pension just some savings which I put into PTK shares. That's gone now. I should have known better. Sad but at 68 years of age I try to tell myself at least I'm alive. lol

I think the biggest thing you should take away from all of this is "Stay away from the market for good"!
