Couple other thoughts on why this happened based on what I have read on the board. Thanks everyone.
1. Maybe we got a hostile low bid offer already? Maybe management decided to defend against this by Diluting the company and getting a big partner on board who would help defend against this offer. Ie vote down any takeover bids.
2. Maybe this is a really large partner taking a piece of the company. (everyone is going to hate this next line) What if someone like the fruit company just took down 20% of the company and they announce that on November 2nd. What will be the SP reaction?
These are all just guesses which I hate, I wish management had the stones to show up and clear things up but that wont happen till this is closed. November 2nd is not far away.
