Did they mentioned anything about their working relationship to Epiworks and Intelligent Epitaxy Technology? Until today I am puzzled about the fact, that shortly after POET announced their partnerships with Anadigics and Epiworks, that II-VI Inc. bought exactly those to companies. Now here my wild guess put as a question: Could it be, that the raising of new capital is done to bring the production of epitaxial wafers under the roof of POET in Singapor? Maybe they plan a buyout of an epitaxial wafer producer in Singapor? Would there be any possible buyout candidate? ... I know that they also need money to upgrade the facitlity of Denselight. But that they already new, when they bought the company and still then they said, that they won't need a capital raise in the near future. So I just wonder whether beside upgrading the Denslight facility there could be another "urgent" reason to raise capital now.
