Do you remember that SV mentioned at the THM about a Canadian company that was working in the windpower generation field looking to detect wind changes at significant distances from Windvanes.
As you clearly pointed out, the POET detector is not suited for the LUXMUX BeST SLED spectroscope, but wind is an entirely different material than the chemical substances a spectroscope is used to detect and its sensitivity would be a significant advantage.
Actually such an instrument would be a great advantage for Sir Ben Ainslie's (Land ROver BAR) attempt at bringing the America's Cup back to where it belongs after 150 years. I would not mind one on Sula.
One has to ask what sort of detector they have in mind for the wind problem that might well benefit from the POET detectors frequency range? Is this what the LUXMUX partnership is all about do you think? If this is in development hence all the tight lips about the substance of the deal - interesting
