To your first point, let's make a comparison. Would Tesla introducing the new Model 3 mean they pivot away from their earlier Model S? No. It's because they are expanding their product range to service a broader range of customers. So that's how I see the new products and IP that were acquired through DeseLight and BB.

And to your second point, the POET tech is the reason these new guys all joined, so that doesn't seem very likely to me. And that's an understatement.
