POET Technologies Inc.

That is not true VV. Here we go again. It is the country of registration that matters, not the exchange it is traded on. Even if POET doesn't trade on a Canadian exchange, it is still a Canadian company and is thus not a foreign stock. We have been over this a number of times. The reason it would be best to also be on the TSX is so you don't have to pay the exchange rate to the brokers from Canadian to US currency when you buy the stock. TFSA has to be in Canadian currency so if POET were to only trade on the NASDAQ you would have to deposit Candian currency convert it to US currency to by the shares. Then when you sell them, assuming you want Canadian currency you would have to convert back. The brokers get their cut every time. This is why we want a TSX listing, tax does not enter into it.
