If the "SI" you speak of is Sheldon Inwentash, do insider traders have a way of offloading the stock without it being explicitely tied to their name?
In that Sheldon has millions of shares, him dropping them could massively hurt the share price. Is it possible to short a stock, while selling large amounts of shares, to make extra money on the side? That would be profitable, especially if you got the shares at discount prices through warrants. Seems a little scummy, but someone who made $100mm+ while running Pinetree's stock into pennies might not think so.
