I loved hockey night in Canada during my two years at Base Valcartier Quebec and even played for the officers' Mess team where my Rugby talent set me up well for high speed contacts; unfortunately turning was a problem so I was somewhat out of control - great fun!
As regards Hockey's invention this article in the Toronto Sun may have some bearing. As England always lays claim to most inventions which is as irritating for us Welsh as for the Canadians I assure you.
